These clients had an existing site based on Dreamweaver templates, but they wanted to clean up the code and modernize the appearance. They also wanted to add dynamic features such as an events calendar and RSVP system. Heather designed new templates with standards-compliant HTML and CSS, a fresh color scheme, and banner images to add visual interest. She also created coordinating templates for the UCLA Graduate Writing Center and UCLA Graduate Student Orientation. The new sites were all built using Dreamweaver templates, since the clients were comfortable with that software and wanted to continue using it. In the process she added Google Analytics for visitor tracking, reorganized the file naming system to optimize for search engines, and moved the site to a new server and domain.
